Henry Aldine "Al" Head

Henry Aldine ""Al"" Head died on July 3, 2014 at Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation in Winston-Salem. Al was born on May 7, 1935 in Winston-Salem, NC to Henry Newton Head and Treva Frances White (Adams) Head. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter; Sherryl Lyn Ambrosio Arroyo; two sisters, Geraldine Head Ireland and Joyce Head Sellars; two brothers, Odell Weldon Head and Tony Eugene Head; and by a brother-in-law, Rev. James Caudle. Al is survived by three sons, Bryan Wesley Head (Maria Chaveli) of Manila, Philippines, and Laurence Alan Head and Randolph Kevin ""Randy"" Head of Alpharetta, Georgia; and by seven grandchildren, Briana, Stephanie, Conrado, Charlene, Andrea and Dominic Ambrosio and Sebastian Lorenzo Head, all of Manila. Also surviving are two sisters, Shelby Head Caudle and Mary Head Wray (Gene) of Winston-Salem and two brothers, Calvin Adams (Carolyn) of Browns Summit and William ""Bill"" Head (Boots) of Rural Hall. His former wife and friend, Amy, of Alpharetta also survives. Al attended public schools in Winston-Salem and then The University of Maryland, Golden Gate University, and The University of Phoenix. He proudly served in The United States Air Force before beginning a 26-year career with The US Government Civil Service, Department of Defense. He served with distinction in Europe and the Far East both during and after the Vietnam Conflict. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 5th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Scott Vernon officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
