Henderson Odell Pruitt

Mr. Henderson Odell Pruitt, age 84, went to be home with his heavenly Father January 5, 2016. He was born December 19, 1931 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Henderson Morgan Pruitt and Stella Otilla Pruitt. He was a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church for over 50 years serving in the sound booth. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret Lucille Sams Pruitt. He is survived by his daughter; Janet O'Ferrell (Steve); sons, Carl (Dianna) Pruitt, Keith (Denise) Pruitt; brother, H.D. (Marie) Pruitt, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2016 at Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall with Pastor Jon White, Rev. John Bylerly, and Pastor Craig Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 10th, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
