Winston-Salem - Mrs. Helen Pappas Poulos, 97 passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born October 26, 1927, in Kalesmenon, Greece, the daughter of John and Spirithoula Agnus Pappas. Helen was a homemaker and a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She also helped her husband with their business the New York Restaurant. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore George Poulos; a son, George Theodore Poulos; two sisters, Renula Kangos and Litsa Koutras and her daughter-in-law, Beth Poulos. Survivors include her son, John Theodore Poulos of Winston-Salem; a grandson, Theordore George Poulos (Abby) of Advance; a great grandson, Riley Alexander Poulos of Advance and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Minas Tsambounieris and Rev. Fr. Constantine Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 21704. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
