Helen J. Mitchell

Mrs. Helen J. Mitchell, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2016.

Helen was born on November 22, 1932 in Wilkes County to Cenie Mae Johnson. She is survived by two brothers, Ken Johnson (LaRue) of Pilot Mountain and Larry Chambers (Jane) of North Wilkesboro; sister, Barbara Chambers of North Wilkesboro; aunt, Evie Combs of Gibsonville and special aunt, Hazel Johnson of Winston-Salem; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Helen retired after working many years with Forsyth Medical Center in the Engineering Department. She will be missed by many.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. David Welborn and Rev. Barry Clement officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
