Helen Vaughn Marable

On Tuesday, May 18, 2010, God sent his angels to bring Helen Vaughn Marable home. Mrs. Marable was born November 30, 1938 in Blount County TN. a daughter of the late John Vaughn and the late Belle Scott Vaughn. She worked several years in housekeeping at Forsyth Medical Center. She planted and took care of her flowers, along with loving her entire family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Matthew A. Marable in 2009, daughter, Jamie Jones; sister, Mamie Wrenn; brothers, J.W. Vaughn, and John Vaughn, Jr. She is survived by her children, Matthew Marable and wife Joann, Sandra Duke, and fianc郩 Burle, Kathy Stillwell, and husband Daryl, Diane Hicks-Hunter and husband Rick, Jack Marable and wife Robin, David Marable and partner Dewey, and Angela Huffman and husband William; sisters, Mae Roach, Betty Jo Smith, Jeanette Watts; brothers, Buck Vaughn, and Donnie Vaughn; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, special friends, Jeanne Turrini, Mr. and Mrs. John White, Mitzi Newsom, and Karen Crotts. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association 430 West Friendly Ave. Greensboro, NC 27401
