Mrs. Helen Shoaf Lincoln of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Lincoln was born in Forsyth County on June 18, 1919 to William Franklin and Eva Fulk Shoaf. She graduated from Reynolds High School and retired from P.H. Hanes Knitting Company with 40 loyal years of service. Mrs. Lincoln was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and enjoyed singing with the choir. Mrs. Lincoln was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William F., Charles C., and Marshal F. Shoaf. She is survived by a son, Albert J. Lincoln, Jr.; and a sister Rachel Shoaf Spainhour, both of Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Conley and Rev. Blake Hooks of Shelby, NC officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Thursday, at the funeral home.
