Our Beloved Mother, Mrs. Helen Carter Landingham, 83, of Thomasville, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010. She was born October 8, 1926 in Wilkes County to Martha Alice Hinson Carter and Walter Franklin Carter, Sr. She retired after 25 years of service from Sears Roebuck Company. Mrs. Landingham was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Anderson Landingham, Sr. and a daughter, Sheron Landreth. Surviving are two daughters, Thresa Brinn (Albert) of Winston-Salem and Martha Zamoida of Walnut Cove; four sons, Chester Landingham (Susan) of Rural Hall, Terry Landingham (Iris) of Winston-Salem, Kyle ""Andy"" Anderson Landingham, Jr. of Thomasville and James Landingham of Burlington; three grandchildren, Chad Landingham (Jill) of Pinehurst, Sarah Zimmerman (Brad) of Winston-Salem, Emily Jenkins (Jonathan) of Kernersville and two great grandchildren, Peyton Jenkins and Liam Zimmerman and one brother, Bennie F. Carter of Boones Mill, VA. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Allan Byerly officiating.
