Mrs. Helen Jeanette Puckett Jarvis, 61 of Winston-Salem died Monday, February 16, 2009. She was born August 13, 1947 in Forsyth County to the late John Archer and Dale Kiger Puckett. Mrs. Jarvis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who retired from Food Lion Inc. after 24 years of service. Helen was an avid bowler and bowled every Thursday night with her team in a Bowling League. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steven Anthony Puckett. Surviving is her husband, David Gwyn ""Butch"" Jarvis of the home; two sons; Bobby and David Jarvis, a daughter; Traci Jarvis, four grandchildren; Kylie, Keara, Leah, Jeremy, an unborn grandchild; Kendra; a sister, Vicky Puckett, two brothers, Tommy Puckett, Johnny Puckett; her heart sister, Sarah Dozier, nephew, Preston as well as many more family and friends The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday, February 19 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A Graveside Service will be conducted 2:00 Friday, February 20 officiated by Rev. Brandon Wolfe in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Helen will be missed in all the days to come.
