Helen Williams Garner

Mrs. Helen Williams Garner, 87, of Lewisville, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 22, 1925 in Randolph County to Thomas Richard and Madge Alice Brown Williams. For the past 12 years, Mrs. Garner was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed going to Bible Fellowship Class. She was a talented lady who enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. Mrs. Garner was a graduate of Ramseur School and McClung's Business College. She was foremost a retired homemaker. Preceding her in death are her husband, Welton Garner; a son-in-law, William ""Bill"" Howard Chambers; a sister, Treva Williams Bassett; and a grandchild, Randy Adams. Surviving are a daughter, Alice Chambers, of Lewisville; a son, Darrell Garner (wife Candy) of Westfield; 2 grandchildren, Zack Garner & Josh Garner (wife Misty); 7 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Matthew, Kellen, Shelby, Paul, Chelsea and Garrett; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
