Helen Wimbish Burchette

Mrs. Helen Wimbish Burchette, 90, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at her home. She was born August, 23, 1922 in Patrick County, VA to Ollie Mitchell and Edwin Deshazo Wimbish. Mrs. Burchette retired from NSA in Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry ""Doc"" Kinsman Burchette; three brothers, Johnny Wimbish, Edwin Wimbish, and James Wimbish; one sister, Lucile W. Loyd. Surviving are two sisters, Lucy Mae Willett of Winston-Salem, Dorothy Stafford of NJ; a brother, Lewis Wimbish of Hot Springs, NC; several nieces and nephews; dog, Buddy. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Salem Cemetery with Rev. Ray Mohrmann officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Salvation Army, P.O. Box 241808, Charlotte, NC 28224-1808 or to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to give a special Thanks to Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Burchette.
