Lewisville - Heinz Paff passed away February 22, 2015 at his home. Heinz was born May 21, 1926 in Leipzig, Germany. Heinz was a veteran of WWII, serving as a soldier in the German army. He was captured by American forces and was a POW stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland. Heinz came back to the United States in 1956 and became an American Citizen in 1963. He had a distinguished 30 year career at the Kalamazoo Gazette newspaper in Michigan. Upon his retirement in 1988, Heinz moved to the North Carolina Mountains and later to Lewisville, NC. He was a true gentleman, who loved to travel, listen to music and socialize with people. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Paff. He leaves behind son, Mark and wife, Revonda of Lewisville, NC; two daughters, Heidi Burleigh and husband, Todd and Kirsten Paff all of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Karl Paff and Morgan Harryman and many relatives in Germany. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel, officiated by Scott Bell. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
