Mrs. Hazeleen Duggins Payne entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 16, 1925, in Stokes County to William Eugene Duggins and Eunice Estella Burrow Duggins. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She loved her family, cooking, watching the birds, crossword puzzles, laughing and just having fun. She was very quick witted up until the very end. She retired from RJ Reynolds with 17 years of service. In addition to her parents, Hazeleen was preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband of 70 years, Bobby Lee Payne, brothers; Homer, Elworth, Clyde, Velmo, Harold and Bobby Duggins. Surviving a son; Douglas Payne (Carolyn), daughter; Susan Kapps (Tim), three grandchildren; Misti Binns (Sean), Scott Payne (Silvia), and Brad Payne (Lisa), five great-grandchildren; Christopher Binns, Abby, Isabella, and Connor Payne, and Campbell Payne, one sister; Annie Lee Stewart, also several nieces and nephews and her best buddies “Little Bit” and Samantha. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Trellis Supportive Care for the loving and compassionate care shown to Hazeleen and her family throughout her journey with a special thank you to Lyndsay and Ashley. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday February 17, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Dr. Evelyn Lemons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Faith United Methodist Church 1645 Griffin Rd., Rural Hall NC, 27045 or Trellis Supportive Care 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem NC, 27103. 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
