Hazel Harper Sweet

Mrs. Hazel Harper Sweet, 87, of Lewisville passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 9, 1922 in Forsyth County to George W. and Margaret Hauser Harper. Mrs. Sweet was a member of Warners Chapel Church of Christ. She loved gardening and flowers. She was a loving and caring person to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Sweet; two sisters, Pauline Harper and Alta Warner; three brothers, Bill, James and Herbert Harper. Surviving are three children, Betty Sweet Cunningham and husband James, Stephen Sweet and wife Shirley, all of Clemmons, and Jeff Sweet and wife Darlene of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Dora Conner and husband Clyde and Juanita Carter; two brothers, Neal Harper and wife LouAnn, and Carl Harper and wife Sue; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4 at Warners Chapel Church of Christ with the Rev. Dennis Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
