Hazel Scott Reid

Mrs. Hazel Scott Reid, 91, passed away February 19, 2013 at Spring Arbor of Thomasville. She was born November 14, 1921 in Davidson County to the late Mack Scott and Minnie Hartman Scott. She was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. Mrs. Reid was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors and cooking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde E. Reid and a brother, Odell Scott. She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Reid Denton and husband Frank; a grandson, Rodney Denton and wife Martha Jo; three great-grandchildren, Gracen, Daelyn, and Deacon Denton. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Denton and the Rev. Darrin Everhart officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Arcadia United Methodist Church, 117 Boulevard Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012.
