Hazel Morrison Kesler

Mrs. Hazel Morrison Kesler, 75, of Kernersville, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Hazel was born May 16, 1941 to Clyde and Ella Morrison. She was a fan of NASCAR, especially her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, and UNC Basketball. She also enjoyed singing and playing gospel music. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her passion in life was her children and family. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Freeman, brothers, Johnny and Kenneth Morrison, and great-grandson, Nicholas Warren.
Left to cherish Hazel's memory are her husband, Ben Kesler; children, Charles Warren and wife Sheree, Lisa Edwards, and Richard Warren; stepchildren, Chuck Kesler and Amanda Rutherford; grandchildren, Christopher Warren, Brian Edwards, Jeremy Warren, Cristie Phillips, Ricky Warren, Josh Rutherford, Brandon Warren, C.J. Warren, Nathan Rutherford, and John Kesler; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Honeycutt, Polly Warren, Bernice Leonard, and Thelma Pemberton; brothers, James Morrison and Clyde ""Jr."" Morrison.
A celebration of Hazel's life will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm prior to the service. Entombment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
