Hazel Virgina Nelson Eaton

KERNERSVILLE-Mrs. Hazel Virginia Nelson Eaton, 87 went home to be with her Lord April 23, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Hazel was born in Stokes County to the late William Grover and Stacey Abbott Nelson. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Hazel loved to sing gospel music and she loved her church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband James F.O, Eaton, one brother Doss Hassel Nelson; one sister Earnestine Batton, and one grandson Jeff Saunders She is survived by one daughter; Viola Eaton Batton ( Bob); three sons, James Eaton (Laura), Roger Eaton (Kim), William Eaton (Jeanne); eleven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; two brothers Bud Nelson (Ruth), Arnold Nelson (Ann); three sister in-laws, Dorothy Burton (Parker) and Ruth Eaton, and Annie Laura Nelson. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday April 26, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. Garland Glascoe and Rev. Tim Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Walkertown, NC. The family will receive friends from 6- 8 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27107
