Hazel Ball

Mrs. Hazel White Ball, 96, passed away on July 6, 2018, at Autumn Care in Cornelius, NC. Hazel was born November 16, 1921, to James Vance White and Bessie Jane Caudle White in Surry County, NC. She spent most of her life in Winston-Salem before moving to Mooresville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lee Ball; and six siblings, Empress Gentry, Reba Hayes, Lala Wooten, Colleen Wall, J.V. White, and Joe White. Surviving are two sons, Larry Sprinkle and wife Barbara of Myrtle Beach, SC and Phillip Ball and wife Eileen of Cornelius, NC; one daughter, Vickie Blair and husband John of Troutman, NC; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Ball was blessed to enjoy five generations, all who loved her very much. Mrs. Ball was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. After moving to Mooresville, she became a member of Southside Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem with Pastor Christopher Thore and her great grandson, Rev. Matthew Sprinkle officiating. A visitation will precede the service from 10:45-11:45am. A private family entombment will take place at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658, or Southside Baptist Church, 525 S. Broad St, Mooresville, NC 28115.
