Haywood Bobby "Bob" Tyson

Haywood Bobby Tyson, 77, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness. Bob, as he was known to family and friends, was born on January 27, 1938, in Statesville, NC, to Haywood and Mona Tyson. He graduated from Statesville High School, Mitchell Community College and Pfeiffer University. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Special Agent with the Naval Investigative Service and Defense Investigative Service for 30 years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Ann Foltz Tyson; two sons, Martin Blaine Tyson (Jeanette) of Chisinau, Moldova and Judd Cooper Tyson of Colorado Springs, CO; two granddaughters, Madeline Anne (Maddie) Tyson and Evelyn May (Evie) Tyson; and one brother, Joe Thomas Tyson of Statesville, NC.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2pm in the Family Life Center at Friedberg Moravian Church. His urn will be interred at the Tyson-Wheless Family Cemetery in Ansonville, NC at a later date. The family requests no flowers.
