Hattie Allen Lockhart

Ms. Hattie Allen Lockhart, 59, of Winston-Salem, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 3, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ms. Lockhart was born on October 6, 1951 in Greenville, South Carolina. As a member of Place of Praise Church in Lexington, NC, she was a proud member of a close knit church family. Ms. Lockhart was retired from Novant Health with 38 years of service, spending the last 15 years in the Corporate Finance Department . She was also involved in many different volunteer organizations including KPEP, PTSA, Upward Bound and Crosby Scholars. Ms. Lockhart was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Carl Allen. She is survived by her mother, Mattie Pearl Morgan Allen; two daughters, LaRhonda Lazcano (Jack) of Thomasville and Lisa Cullins (Daryl) of High Point; one stepdaughter, Rhonda Roberts of Durham, NC; one grandchild, Nicholas Roberts; four brothers, Billy Allen, Ricky Allen, Michael Allen and Shane Allen; two sisters, Jimmie Ann Williams and Mattie L. Allen; and a host of aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews and close friends. A homegoing celebration will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Place of Praise Church in Lexington, NC. Following the service, Ms. Lockhart will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday prior to the service at Place of Praise Church.
