Hattie Mae Pegram Hire

Mrs. Hattie Mae Pegram Hire, 87, of Lewisville passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born December 1, 1923 in Forsyth county to John William and Bessie Transou Pegram. She was a homemaker, but had been publicly employed at various times. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Boyer\'s Chapel and attended as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hire; three brothers, Transou, J.W., and Billy Pegram; three sisters, Ethel Cook, Willie Kinney, and Faye Jones. She is survived by two sons, Dale, Don and wife Melinda two granddaughters Jennie (Matt) White, Nikki (John) Dunn, and two great-granddaughters Kyndall White and Allison Dunn; one brother, Leo (Marie) Pegram; two sisters, Johnsie Moser and Wanda (Arthur) Redding; and a sister-in-law Dot W. Pegram. Hattie enjoyed playing golf, cooking, sewing, knitting, and especially making quilts. A memorial service will be held in the mausoleum at Westlawn Memorial Gardens in Clemmons at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25 with Mr. Tommy Graham officiating. The family would like to thank the staffs at The Elms, Clemmons Village II, Regency Care, Forsyth Medical Center, and Baptist Hospital for the care given to our mother during the last few years.
