Hassell Gray Wall

Lewisville - Mr. Hassell Gray Wall, age 81, of Lewisville, passed from this life to his heavenly home on April 25, 2013 surrounded by family members. He was born in Winston-Salem on March 17, 1932 to the late T. Arthur and Ethel Hutchens Wall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Peoples and a nephew, Ronnie Peoples. He is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Keith (Cindy) Wall of Mocksville; stepchildren Aletha (Daryl) Ritchey of Tobaccoville and Roger (Sandy) Sprinkle of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren Jennifer Wall Kimball and Matthew Wall & fiancée Amber Irwin of Winston-Salem, Justin (Brittany) Ritchey and their son, Mason, and Melissa Ritchey of Tobaccoville; two nieces and two nephews. Hassell served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, then worked part-time for George K. Walker Florist, and lastly, for Modern Toyota. For 20+ years he enjoyed being a referee with the Piedmont Football Association. Hassell was a long time member of Oaklawn Baptist Church of Winston-Salem where he was involved in many areas of service as long as his health allowed. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Jim Saul and Rev. Todd Haley officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Friday, April 26, at the funeral home.
