Harvey Mitchell, Jr.

Mr. Harvey "Butch" Mitchell, 80, of Rural Hall, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, at Trellis Supportive Care, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia.  He was born February 3, 1942, in Forsyth County to the late Harvey Lloyd Mitchell, Sr. and Mildred Hester Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell retired from Seimens Westinghouse after over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, as well as several aunts and uncles.  He was a good man and loved by all.   He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Mitchell, his son Scott Mitchell, his daughter Jennifer Smith, and three grandchildren Pearson Mitchell, Olivia Mitchell and Taylor Pruitt and his loyal, loving, Dachshund companion Crosby.  A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Antioch United Methodist Church in Walkertown, NC with Pastor Charlie Fried officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Parkinson's Research or Antioch Church in Walkertown.
