Harry Lee Vaden

VADEN Winston-Salem - Mr. Harry Lee Vaden passed away September 1, 2009 at the age of 88. Mr. Vaden was one of ten children born to James and Emma Vaden. He was born in Stokes County, NC on April 13, 1921. Harry was a loving Christian husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. This kind, sweet man will be forever in our hearts. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaden was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Gradie Cardwell Vaden; his son, Jerry Lee Vaden; five brothers, Reid, Coy, Arthur, Nera, and Jeoffrey Vaden; and two sisters, Ludie and Lucy Vaden. He is survived by two brothers, Marion Vaden and wife Lolene, and Louis Vaden and wife, Margaret; one granddaughter, Shawn Vaden Carpenter and husband, Tim; great-granddaughters, Jordan and Taylor Carpenter; and his daughter-in-law, Jamie Vaden. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Elder Milton Gunter officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
