Harry Lee Myers, 92, died and went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 15, 2021 at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab Center in Clemmons North Carolina. He was born in Davidson county North Carolina on April 22,1928 to the late William Stimpson Myers and Annie Louise Everhart Myers. He is pre-deceased by six brothers and five sisters. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Appalachian State Teachers college and received a BS degree in Mathematics and Physical Education It was there that Harry met the love of his life, Lois Brown Myers. They married in 1952 and have enjoyed a sweet love and friendship for over 68 years. Harry leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his beloved wife and family, faith in his Lord, hard work, and enjoying life to its fullest. In his early years Harry taught math at Glenn High School in Kernersville. He was a homebuilder in Winston Salem for over 25 years, building houses in Ardmore, Sherwood Forest, and Huntcliff. He was a member of the Lion’s Club and the Winston Salem Home Builders Association. In his retirement years he enjoyed flying his Piper Cub airplane, traveling, gardening and various projects at “the farm” in Davie County. Harry is survived by his wife Lois, one son, Harry Lee Myers Jr. (Hank) and his wife Sharon Richart Myers, one daughter, Anne Myers Wagner and her husband Richard F. Wagner, Jr. Also surviving are his dearly loved grandchildren, Nathan Myers and his wife Stephanie, Carly Myers Littell and her husband Ryan, Paige Myers, Claire Myers, Jesse Watson and his wife Elizabeth, and Jenna Watson and her fiancé Christian Snider. Harry is also blessed to have six great grandchildren, Emma Kate and Henry Watson, Raegan and Grayson Littell, Parker and Camden Myers. They take comfort in knowing that Granddaddy is sitting with Augie dog at his feet swinging on the front porch of Heaven. Surviving also are many loved nieces and nephews. Harry was a longtime member of Clemmons United Methodist Church and will be laid to rest in the columbarium. A celebration of his life will be at a later date. The family wishes to extend deepest gratitude to the staff at Trinity Elms Health and Rehab Center (Harper Heights), the Trinity Elms Memory Care Center, and to the medical staff of Physicians Eldercare for caring for Harry mentally, physically, and spiritually.
