Harry Lee Joyce

Mr. Harry Lee Joyce, 67, died Monday, October 27 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 15, 1941 in Stokes County to the late Joseph Reid and Rhumell Nance Joyce. Harry graduated Embry Riddle School of Aviation in Miami, FL and retired from Piedmont Airlines/U.S. Airways with 34+ years of service. Harry was a free spirit and loved racing, fishing and talking to his racing buddies. In addition to his parents, Harry is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Ann Messer. Harry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lani Newsome Joyce; a daughter, Sherl (Mike) Jarrell; a son, Ricky (Tammy) Joyce; step-son, Aaron Mabe; six grandchildren, Cory and Joey Smith, Nicky and Shannon Joyce, Michael and Melissa Jarrell. Harry is also survived by his brothers, Billy Joe and James (Doc) Joyce; and a special brother-in-law, Joe Messer. There will be a private memorial service at a later date for immediate family only.
