Mr. Harry Cosgrove Driscoll, 91, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born May 5, 1930 in Attleboro, Mass. to Mary and Harry S. Driscoll. Mr. Driscoll was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of WinstonSalemFirst Church and retired from AT & T. Harry, Dad, Poppa was the most pure and selfless soul that anyone ever knew. There was never a time that he put his needs before another’s. A true servant and faithful follower of Christ. There is no question his reward in Heaven is great. Harry was preceded in death by his two wives, Mary Lou Cooper Driscoll and Judith Effler Driscoll and two sisters, Eileen A. Kollett and Virginia McClusky. Surviving are his seven children, Michael Driscoll, Stephen Driscoll, Lori King (David), Sabrina Lawless, Cheri Collins, Shelly Furchert (Mike) and Wendi Roberson (Tim); a fur baby, Charlotte “Lottie”; nine grandchildren; great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith M. Driscoll and Cathy McKinnon and one brother, Donald “DJ” Driscoll (Perry). A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at WinstonSalemFirst Church with Pastor Elwood Rakes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. A private graveside service will be held at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
