Mr. Harry Byron Cheek, 65, of Clemmons passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born June 16, 1947 in Wilkes County to Quincy Albert and Lucy Gentry Cheek. Mr. Cheek was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 42 years of service. Surviving is his wife Sandra D. Cheek of Clemmons; two sons, Steven Cheek and fiancé Kristy Rose of Wilmington and Eric Cheek and wife Lanette of King; a brother, Jerry Cheek and wife Brenda of N. Wilkesboro and two nieces, Cindy Ward and husband Nathan and their son Camden of Lewisville and Donna Cheek of Raleigh. A funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Guy Hipp officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Cheek will be entombed in the Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
