Harold Wayne Voss

Mr. Harold Wayne Voss, 75, of Clemmons passed away Friday, January 7, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 11, 1935 in Forsyth County to Thomas Lester and Ethel Boles Voss. Mr. Voss was a longtime member of South Fork Baptist Church, and a current member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed sports, traveling and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Harry Voss. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Marie Brown Voss; four children, Brian K. Voss (Alice) of Winston-Salem, Sherri Bowman (Bill) of Louisville, KY, Angela Henrichs (Darren) of Lewisville, and Michelle Rumple (Todd) of Advance; five grandchildren, Scarlett Voss, Adriana, Andrew and Ayden Henrichs, and Emmarie Rumple; two sisters, Audrey Slocum (Ray) of Lakeland, FL, and Jane Logan (Dallas) of Winston-Salem; one brother, David Voss of Pilot Mountain; several nieces, nephews, and special friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 9 at Center Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Corts and the Rev. Bryan Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
