Harold Lloyd Vandiver

Mr. Harold Lloyd Vandiver, age 72 of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday morning November 16, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem after a very long extended illness. Harold was born in Forsyth County January 30, 1938 to the late William Guy and late Myrtle Viola Charles Vandiver. He was an honorable veteran having served in the United States Navy. Harold lived his life to the fullest and was a very proud supporter of the Easter Seal and the Humane Society. In addition to his parents Harold was preceded in death by his wife; Lena Jo Vandiver. Surviving is his daughter; Lynn (Allen) Wagoner of Germanton. One son; Randy (Jan) Vandiver of Wallburg. Four grandchildren; Sasha, Brianna, Dylan, and Ethan. One sister; Alma ""Sister"" (Bobby) Herndon of Liberty, NC and one brother; William ""Skeetz"" (Loretta) Vandiver of Surf Side Beach, SC. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, November 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Rural Hall by Rev. Glenn Murphy with Military Burial Honors to follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller in Rural Hall Wednesday evening November 17th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
