Harold Billy Turner

Mr. Harold Billy Turner, 84, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Memory Care of the Triad. Harold was born on June 18, 1932 in Yadkin County to Melvin and Ola Hemrick Turner. He was a Veteran of the US Army- Korean Conflict and retired from Pepsi with over 37 years of service. Harold was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church for over 21 years. He was a graduate of West Yadkin High School and Bryce Business College. Harold loved gardening and working in the yard. He especially loved spending time with his grandsons fishing at the beach and local ponds.


In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roger Bennett.

Surviving are his wife, Lunelle Turner of the home; his son, Brock Harold Turner and wife, Bettina Thiel Turner; two grandsons, Bradley Aaron Turner (wife, Brittany), and Kevin Patrick Turner; siblings, Jack Turner (wife, Nell), Mildred Campbell (James), Oleen Bodenhamer (Willis), Jerrie Bennett, and Allen Turner (Judy)


A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Jim Saul officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery.
