Harold Gene Stanley

Mr. Harold Gene Stanley, Sr., 77, of Advance passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 17, 1935 in Davie County to Claude Cornatzer and Frances Anderson Stanley. Harold enjoyed coon hunting, blue grass music and socializing with friends at BoJangles. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Betty Jean Stanley and Helen Brooks and a brother, Joe Stanley. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Windsor Stanley of the home; three children, Harold G. Stanley, Jr., Tanya McInelly and husband Mike and Dee Mosteller and husband Danny; two step children, Renee Shelton and husband Andy and Tracy Holbrooks; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; five sisters, Evona Cope, Shirley Mahan and husband Jimmy, Diane Miller, Kathy Dockery and Brenda Huff and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Barry Lemons officiating. Burial will follow in the Farmington Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
