Harold Withers Redmon, 89, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Harold was born on December 16, 1928, in Leaksville, NC, to the late Numa David and Bertha Withers Redmon.
Harold worked for the North Carolina Department of Revenue. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He and his wife, Faye, raised four sons. He was an avid fisherman, collector of hand carved animal figurines, a traveler who visited all 50 states with his wife, and a cigar aficionado.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Numa David Redmon; four sisters, Velma Newnam, Ethel Ray, Helen Parker and Frances Robertson; and one son, Matthew Redmon. Harold is survived by his wife of 64 years, Faye; three sons, Mark (Katrina), Michael, and Miles (Lori Lynn); two grandchildren; one brother, Wilford Redmon; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 2575 Parkway Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27013, with Fr. Steve Rice officiating. Inurnment and reception will follow the service. Memorial donations may be given in Harold's memory to the charity of your choice or to City with Dwellings c/o St. Timothy's Episcopal Church at the above address.
