Harold Dean Hicks

WINSTON SALEM-Harold Dean Hicks, 64, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 18, 1944 in Forsyth Co. to the late Raleigh and Rachel Smith Hicks. Harold was known as Shorty, Canman or Pop. He retired after 34 years of employment from VP Building. Surviving are his wife, Blanche Lee Hicks of the home; two daughters, Dina Hicks and husband John, Buffy Miller and husband James all of Winston Salem; one granddaughter, Kanaysha Scott; family friend, Kelly Overby; three brothers, Donald, Ollie, and Raleigh Hicks; and one sister, Catherine. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Friday, May 8, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
