Harold Robert Griffith

Mr. Harold Robert Griffith, age 97 of Stanleyville Drive passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Griffith was born in Forsyth County May 29, 1913 to the late Robert A. and late Deamie Beck Griffith. He was a member of Marshall Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, In addition to his parents Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Surviving is his wife of 68 years of marriage Lola Plemmons Griffith. Two sons; Spencer (Polly) Griffith and Arnold (Dot) Griffith. Four grandchildren; Lance, Stephanie, Cindy and Dane. Nine great grandchildren. One great great grandchild. One sister; Dorothy Williams and three brothers; Ralph, Wesley, and Ernest Griffith. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Marshall Baptist Church in Winston-Salem by Pastor John Holmes. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Marshall Baptist Church Building Fund, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is serving the Griffith family.
