Harold Saunders Gibson

Mr. Harold Saunders Gibson, 87, of Summerfield, NC, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was born March 3, 1929 in Statesville to Hattie Bell Eads Gibson and Charlie C. Gibson. Mr. Gibson was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. He was owner and operator of Harold Gibson Discount TV and Appliance, Inc. and retired from Modern Chevrolet. Mr. Gibson was a charter member of Berean Baptist Church and in later years attended First Baptist Church of Summerfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Robertson Gibson; two grandchildren, Daniel Sealey and Britnie Hutton; two brothers and one sister. Surviving are three daughters, Tina Harvell (Brandon) of Summerfield, Maggie Streett (Ben) of Winston-Salem and Kathy Sealey (Chris) of Stony Point; five grandchildren, Brady Gibson, Joey Keiger, Misty Mabe, Michael Kilby and Kristen Sealey and four great grandchildren, Jake Keiger, Madison Mabe, Dalton Mabe and Chelsea Keiger. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Brother Ben Streett officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
