Harley Gray Boyles

Mr. Harley Gray Boyles, 86, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born June 21, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late Roy Lee Boyles, Sr. and Bessie Kiser Boyles. Preceding him in death was a brother, Roy Lee Boyles, Jr. Mr. Boyles was a graduate of Hanes High School and West Virginia Wesleyan University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. Mr. Boyles was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Boyles retired after 37 years of service with Western Electric/Bell Labs/AT&T as a mechanical draftsman supervisor. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Wilson Boyles; children, Keith Boyles and wife, Dora, Anne Boyles Justus and husband, Scott, Dale Boyles Darnell and husband, Cliff, Jamie Boyles Oliver, and Blake Boyles and wife, Gina; grandchildren, Chris Traynor, Jill Justus, Jordie Justus and fiancé, Patrick Kerwin, Matthew and Sam Darnell, Alex and Jake Oliver, Ashley Teague and husband, Chris, and Adam Dzeskewicz; also surviving is a sister-in-law, Belle Oakes Boyles, a niece and two nephews and their families. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Dennis Conner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, Victory Junction, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317, or to Project Pearl (Animal Adoption), 4210 Spring Rock Ct., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
