Mrs. Hallie Dominick Weatherspoon, 96, of Winston-Salem passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at The Oaks at Forsyth. Mrs. Weatherspoon was born in Orange County, NC to the late William Porter and Mary Roberts Thompson on March 2, 1912. She was a member of Duke Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Weatherspoon also worked as a receptionist at WDNC Radio in Durham from 1957 - 1977. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Weatherspoon was preceded in death by her first husband Hal M. Dominick in 1956 and her second husband C.A. ""Buck"" Weatherspoon in 1971; five sisters, and 2 brothers. Mrs. Weatherspoon is survived by a daughter Molly D. Montgomery and husband David of Advance, three sons William H. Dominick and wife Sandra of Winston-Salem; John M. Dominick and wife Betsy of Durham, and Robert P. Dominick and wife Emmy of Raleigh; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a step-son Patrick Weatherspoon of Hillsboro, NC. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, NC with the Rev. Ginger Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, 504 W. Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC 27701 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
