Hallie Bennett Mabe

Kernersville -On June 13, 2009, with wings of a dove; and a heart of always sharing; this angel left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father. Hallie Bennett Mabe was born on December 27, 1922 to Andrew J. and Pearlie Nelson Bennett of Danbury. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Mabe and two great-grandchildren, Adam Motsinger and Dustin Clinard. She is survived by two sons, Wayne F. Mabe (Diane), Benny M. Mabe (Nina); and one daughter, Janice M. Clifton (Frank) all of Kernersville; also the love of her life, her grandchildren, Deanna Harris, Shannon Clinard and Shelly Motsinger, Jennifer Rominger, James (Jamie) Mabe II; and 7 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Zach, Nathan, Emma, Erika, Dawson and Kolton. Hallie was blessed to be from a loving family of eight children; Mamie Rierson, Adelene Lewis (Charles), Swanson Bennett (Dora), Norman Bennett (Rexine), all of Kernersville, Alonzo Bennett (Flaxie) of Oak Ridge, and Lucille Wall and Margie Hall Bullins of Lawsonville. Hallie graduated from Lawsonville High School. She and James moved to Oak Ridge after James returned from World War II. They purchased a farm on Bunch Road and Hallie not only helped on the farm, raised her kids, she also cared unselfishly for many other family members in her home. Many members of her family often referred to her as their ""Angel on Earth"". Hallie enjoyed family vacations, especially camping at White Lake and Lake Norman, and gardening. She will be truly missed by her family and all who knew her. Hallie was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel officiated by Jerry Cox and John Calhoun. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Any memorials can be made to Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church, in care of, Inez Hole, 1378 Hanging Rock Park Road, Danbury, NC 27016.
