Hallie Lawson

Mrs. Hallie Virginia Foster Lawson, 99, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at her home. She was born September 11, 1923 in Davie County to Robert and Mozelle Foster. Mrs. Lawson was a charter member of Forsyth Friends Church and was a very active senior citizen. She loved ballroom dancing, puzzles and displaying many things at the Crickets Nest Craft Shop. She was a daily mall walker, walking over 7,000 miles. If Mrs. Lawson, found money, she always kept it and recorded when and where she found it. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Lawson; her siblings, Robert Foster, Johnny Foster, Ann Johnson, Laura Smith and Opal Ward and two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Crepeau and Nona McKee. Surviving are a daughter, Pat Lawson Moser (Maurice); a son, Mike Lawson; a sister, Betty Foster Wood; two brothers-in-law, Bob McKee and Terry Lawson (Barbara). The family would like to thank her caregiver, Deborah Jackson for her care and compassion. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Timothy Carter and Pastor John Porter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth Friends Church, 800 Jonestown Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
