Gypsy Mabe Deal

High Point-Gypsy Mabe Deal, 84, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at High Point Regional Hospital. She was born July 10, 1926 in Forsyth Co. to the late John and Betty Dillon Mabe.

Mrs. Deal was a member of Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church, and retired from Daisy Mills after 20 years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Lenny Deal; three brothers, and four sisters.

Surviving are her two daughters, Vicki Lassiter of Madison, Kelly Minick of High Point; two sons, Lenny Deal and wife Janice, Randy Deal and wife, Dawn all of Reidsville; eight grandchildren, Michael Lassiter, Wesley Minick, Caroline Minick, David Deal, Mindy Mills, Keith Deal, Matthew Deal, and Whitney McDearmon; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Mabe and wife Edna of Winston Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Elder David Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Saints Delight Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
