Gwynne Myers

KERNERSVILLE- Gwynne Leffel Myers 70, passed away Thursday September 23, 2021 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born April 26, 1951 in Mecklenburg County NC to the late Thomas and Evelene Leffel.

Gwynne was a devoted wife and mother. She had a deep reservoir of kindness and empathy.  She had a strong desire to help others which led her to a career in nursing; first as a registered nurse and later as a mental health nurse.

She was a caring, humble, and selfless person that enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. Her kind spirit will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Thomas Myers.

Surviving are her sons Matthew Thomas Myers and wife Consuelo of Stoneville, NC and Elijah Samuel Myers and wife Jessie of Princeton, WV. She leaves behind grandchildren Carolina and Christian Flores, and August and Diego Myers.

A private memorial service will be held. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
