Guy Robert Reece

Mr. Guy Robert Reece, 89, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2015. He was born in the Walburg Community of Davidson Co. on February 25, 1926 the son of the late David Owens Reece and Estie Motsinger Reece. Mr. Reece was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He retired from Tuttle Lumber Co. with 41 ½ years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ross Reece, six sisters and a brother. He is survived by two daughters; Carolyn Felts (Jackie) of Cibolo, TX and Robin Howard (Gurney) of Winston-Salem, three sons; Rev. Bobby Reece (Debbie) of Yadkinville, Jimmy Reece (Kathy) of Tobaccoville and Mark Reece of Rural Hall, ten grandchildren; Bryan Felts (Christine), Kevin Felts (Keeli), Andrew Reece, Rebekah Reece, Rodney Reece (Kim), Jennifer Barneycastle (Todd), Justin Reece (Maranda), Sarah Reece, Daniel Howard (Melissa) and Nathan Howard and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Bethany Baptist Church in Winston-Salem with Dr. Brad Stamey and Rev. Bobby Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
