Greg Keith Madison

Gregory “Greg” Keith Madison, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at his residence. Greg was born to Raymond Preston and Edith Hall Madison in Yadkin County, NC on October 23, 1963. He owned a roofing and landscaping business for many years. Greg was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting, especially snow scenes. His art also translated into his love of yard work. Greg always said that his job was roofing but his passion was landscaping. He took immense pride in his ability to create flower gardens and he especially loved growing and cultivating roses. Every Mother’s Day, Greg would post a sign in his yard inviting neighbors and passersby to pick roses from his garden free of charge. His hard work around the house earned him recognition by the Town of Lewisville and his property won “Yard of the Week” in the Lewisville Citizen Newsletter. 

In addition to his father, Raymond, Greg was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Vickie Stewart Madison.

Left to cherish Greg’s memory are his mother, Edith Madison of Clemmons; his brother, Rick Madison (Sandra) of Clemmons; a special friend, Cindy Doub of Lewisville; and numerous other special family members and friends.

A memorial service to honor Greg’s life will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Unity Moravian Church in Lewisville, NC with the Rev. Truett Williams and Rev. Scott Rainey officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the narthex of the church. A private internment will be held at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directly made to Hebron Colony Ministries, 356 Old Turnpike Road, Boone, NC 28607.
