Greg Raymond Countryman

MCLEANSVILLE-Greg Raymond Countryman, 53, a loving husband and father passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. He was born December 4, 1956, in Ithaca, New York to Evelyn Ludlow Countryman and the late Gordon Darrell Countryman. Greg was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colfax and was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam Era. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Countryman. Surviving are his wife, Louise Countryman; children, Melissa, Michael and Mathew Countryman; sister, Deb Aldrich; niece, Crystal Aldrich and her two children; his mother; two stepsons, Tony Taylor (Jennifer) and Justin Taylor (Shannon); and four step-grandchildren, Devin, Kaitlin, Austin and Mackenzie Taylor. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colfax. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Aid Fund, 8938 W. Market St., Colfax, NC 27235.
