Grady James Reich, Sr.

Grady James Reich, Sr., born August 1, 1923, went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and his son, Grady ""Jimmy"" Reich, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rita Pons Reich and his faithful companion, Pumpkin, the cat, and numerous nieces and nephews. Grady was an avid golfer and enjoyed the sport for a long period of time. He was executive director of Tar Hill Golfing Association for 15 years. He was an active member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church and served in the Navy during WWII. After leaving the service he returned to Winston-Salem and worked for Taylor Oil Company for a number of years. He retired as an accountant at Western Electric (AT&T). A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, November 8, 2009 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church with Dr. Worth Green officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
