Grady Ray Hawks

Mr. Grady Ray Hawks, 86, passed away, October 27, 2024. He was born May 13, 1938, in Forsyth County to the late Jonah H. Hawks and Bertha Mackie Hawks. Grady was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. He retired from RJ Reynolds after over 30 years’ service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary S. Hawks; two sisters, Jettie Barr, Elizabeth Griffin, and one brother, Elmer Hawks. He is survived by two children, Susie Gordon (Robb) of Rural Hall, and Danny Hawks of Rural Hall; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Gordon (Leigh Ann), Whitney Gordon, and Dannielle Hayes (TJ); three great-grandchildren, Noah and Eli Gordon, and Rhett Hayes; and one brother, Tommy Hawks. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Eddie Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
