Grady Coleman Anderson

Mr. Grady Coleman Anderson, 83, of Lewisville, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 23, 1929 to the late Crawley and Carrie Anderson. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Anderson enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working his garden. He retired from R.J. Reynolds after 40 years. He was a faithful member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. Anderson is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda Anderson; a daughter, Kathy Eads (Ronnie) of Yadkinville; grandchildren Laura and Michael; step-children, Sonya (Tom) Kellar, Phillip (Deborah) Barton, Donna (Darwin) Wishon; and step-grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Calvin, Faith, and Kevin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a step-grandchild, Hope Wishon; and his siblings, Johnny, Charlie Henry, Grover, Roy, Estelle Smith, and Katherine Bailey. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 am at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church in Clemmons with Rev. Greg Freeman officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Harmony Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5041 Styers Ferry Rd. Lewisville, NC 27023. The family would like to thank the cardiac staff and a special thanks to Candy Johnson at Forsyth Medical Center for the care that was shown in Mr. Anderson's time of need.
