Grace Hall Kent

Mrs. Grace Hall Kent, 94 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Monday, April 06, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Kent was born March 21, 1915 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Noah W. and Nancy Lee Horne Hall. She was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church, where she was very active in Church activities.Throughout her life, she was active in Scouting and Community Service. Grace also enjoyed her friends, playing bridge, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren and her Walking Club. Preceding her in death were her parents, and a sister, Edna Geiger. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters; Barbara Blackburn and husband, Edward of Raleigh, NC; Nancy Zimmerman and husband, Richard of Kernersville; four grandchildren; Jeff Prescott and fianc郩e, Susan Jakes, Mark Prescott and wife, Jennifer, Angela Grace and husband, Todd, Chris Zimmerman and wife, Melanie, as well as three great grandchildren; Caden Prescott, Emily Grace, Laura Grace and Sarah Grace. The family will receive friends, Thursday, April 9, 2006 an hour prior to the Service in the Ardmore United Methodist Church Parlor. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Ardmore United Methodist Church with Dr. John Franklin Howard, Rev. Kari Howard and Dr. Donald Funderburk officiating. A Private Graveside Service will be held. The Kent Family would like to express their appreciation to the Loving and dedicated Caregivers who cared for Grace during the last several years.
