Grace Chervenok Ehrhardt

Grace Chervenok Ehrhardt died April 6, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Born to John and Meta Chervenok on October 5, 1921, Grace grew up in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. She married Russell Ehrhardt in 1946 and moved to Winston-Salem with his employment at McLean Trucking Company in 1953. She was a loving and supportive wife, and she reared their children John and Gretchen, frequently on her own as Russ traveled regularly on business. She often volunteered as grade mother or assistant in the school or church office. She also served as treasurer of her church. She was a charter member of the Forsyth Medical Center Auxiliary where she chaired the flower delivery department. Grace returned to employment in her 50's working accounts payable, retiring from Leaseway in 1990. She was a faithful member of her church, attending regularly until last Christmas. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Russ; her son, John; and sisters, Ruth and Eileen. Her daughter Gretchen, five grandchildren including Jennifer, Matt and Joe Ellison, as well as 5 great-grandchildren survive. A memorial service will be held at Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1355 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem on Sunday, April 12 @ 1:30 PM.
