Gloria Cutsail Durham, 92, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Brookstone Assisted Living in Clemmons. Gloria was born in Carroll County, Maryland on October 7, 1928 to the late William Leslie Cutsail and Olive Thomas Cutsail. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post #5370 in Maryland. Gloria moved to North Carolina 14 years ago and was a member of Mt. Olivet UMC in Lexington. Gloria enjoyed crafts, crocheting, puzzles and ceramics. Along with her late husband, she was also very active in community volunteering, including frequent visits to patients at mental health facilities and collecting canned goods for local food drives. In addition to her husband, William Rommie Durham, Sr., and her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, William Cutsail; stepfather, Ora McCammon; and half-brother, Robert McCammon. Surviving family includes one daughter, Diann Harwood (Brian) of Clemmons; one son, William Rommie Durham, Jr. (Vicky) of Clemmons; five grandchildren, Brad Harwood (Rosi), Todd Harwood (Nikki), Kristin Harwood Jamar (Brandon), Kimberly Durham, and Allison Durham Carannante (Pasquale); and 13 great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A private burial will be held later this week in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland.
